W2:00B Developments in Commodity Trading

Continental B

An unprecedented number of changes in commodity market structure are challenging the way global commodity trading is conducted. Our group of commodity experts will explain how to navigate the new commodity landscape. Panelists will discuss EFRP execution and documentation issues, including third-party account controllers, FX EFRPs and differences between CME and ICE rules; compare and contrast proposed US and EU position limit regimes; and address block trade execution questions, including what constitutes pre-hedging and when and why it is prohibited. Topics also include recent trends in CFTC and exchange investigations in the commodities space, LME warehousing issues, and SDR and swaps large-trader reporting challenges.
