W2:00A CCP Risk: Where are we now?

Continental A
CCPs and clearing members work to promote safe and efficient mechanisms by collecting margin, establishing default rules, and managing porting or liquidating customer trades in a time of crisis. Panelists will discuss whether these risk management practices and other rules actually create liquidity and risk concerns that discourage clearing of derivatives on CCPs. This panel will consider new international standards, regulations, and CCP rules related to resiliency, recovery and resolution and whether new regulatory initiatives are improving the overall system or actually raising new concerns.
