Continental A

In a global industry, developments in one region can have a substantial impact on others. While drafted to create new rules for financial markets in Europe, the reach of MiFID II goes beyond the region’s borders, impacting market participants in other jurisdictions. As the listed derivatives industry struggles to meet the implementation deadline for this new set of regulations, the UK’s decision to leave the European Union is further complicating how firms across the globe will conduct business, where they will locate their operations and how they will access trading venues and clearinghouses in Europe. This panel will assess the industry’s approaches and options for business in Europe.

Jerome Kemp, Global Head of Citi Futures, Clearing & Collateral, Citigroup Global Markets
